NTEU has been monitoring the latest on the federal vaccination mandate at every level from local to national. Chapter 66 will continue working to provide all our employees at the Kansas City Campus with the latest updates. With the November 22nd deadline approaching, and the opportunity to get the first dose of the two-dose course passed, what’s next?

If you wanted to receive the two-dose vaccination course, the opportunity to receive your first dose and still remain compliant with the mandate has now passed. As of the end of the day on October 18th, KC Campus employees must have received the first dose of either Pfizer or Moderna. The next critical date for vaccinations is November 8th; employees must have received their second dose of either Pfizer or Moderna, or their one-time dose of Johnson & Johnson.
The deadline to submit a Reasonable Accommodation has also come and gone. The deadline to have your paperwork submitted to the appropriate places was Friday, October 22nd. If you wanted to submit for a Reasonable Accommodation, please check with your manager! We don’t have guidance at this time, but we will keep you all updated as best we can.
As a reminder, Chapter 66 and KC Care Health Center are continuing to bring vaccinations to campus. On Wednesday October 27th and Monday November 8th, KC Care will be returning to administer the second dose of Pfizer, one-time dose of Johnson & Johnson, or the Pfizer booster. The final day they will be here, November 8th, is the absolute last chance you’ll have to be considered fully vaccinated and compliant with the mandate, whether you’re receiving the two-course Pfizer or Moderna vaccinations, or the one-time Johnson & Johnson.
