Files Your Taxes for Free!

NTEU partners with Prepare + Prosper, a non-profit that provides federal assistance and tax preparation help. Using a tax software called TaxSlayer, members can use the knowledge and expertise of Prepare + Prosper to file their federal and state income taxes for free! Get started filing your taxes here!

Home and Moving Discounts

Members receive discounts by using National Van Lines when moving out-of-state, on storage-in-transit, warehouse handling, and pickup/delivery to and from storage in-transit. Once you register a shipment with National Van Lines, you will receive an invitation to a no cost service called Updater! Update helps you to transfer and connect utilities, forward mail with USPS, and notify relevant parties of your new address. Click here for more info!

Additionally, Weichert Workforce Mobility, a global relocation services company, provides NTEU members with a “Cash Incentive” bonus when buying or selling a house, townhouse, or condominium through National Real Estate Services. Click here for more info!

Travel Discounts

The members-only travel discounts offered by NTEU range from rental cars to hotels to specific reservations! NTEU members always receive up to 25% off their rental cars when booking through Avis and Budget using NTEU’s offer code. You can also get 10% off all Choice Hotels, including Sleep Inns, Comfort Inns, Quality Inns, and more with NTEU’s Corporate Account Number.

Using NTEU’s links, members can enjoy free access to the Consumer’s Checkbook’s online guide to Health Plans, as well as a 30% discounted subscription to Consumers’ Checkbook magazine! Additionally, members can receive discounted rates on Colonial Life Personal Insurance, Professional Liability Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, Liberty Mutual Auto, Home, and Renters Insurance, Liberty Mutual Pet Insurance, and United Benefits. If you are interested in services such as becoming a Certified Public Accountant, attorney services, or even health screenings, NTEU has special discounts for you! NTEU members receive discounts with Shapiro, Shapiro and Shapiro, L.P.A. if they are in need of an attorney for Workers’ Compensation.

For those interested in becoming a Certified Public Accountant, or CPA, NTEU has partnered with Becker Professional Education to bring members a 40% discount on all Becker CPE annual subscriptions.

Members can also receive discounts on health screenings from Life Line Screening, and services from Harris Federal Employee Law Firm regarding claims for Federal Disability Retirement Benefits.
